Laser Hair Removal, Cool Sculpting, and Botox Top The Non-Surgical List
No. 1 - Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal rang in as the number one most searched non-invasive cosmetic procedure in the past 12 months. The rise in popularity coincides with the increase in efficacy of hair removal treatments from laser technology.
No. 2 - CoolSculpting
With the gym closures and sidetracked fitness routines in 2020, it’s no surprise that CoolSculpting was among top search interests in the last 12 months. However, this non-invasive body sculpting technology was growing in popularity before the pandemic. It’s effective, virtually painless, and requires a shorter recovery time than other surgical options that fall under body contouring. And experts expect demand for the procedure to continue to grow.
No. 3 - Botox
Experts predicted botox would be more popular and preventive than ever in 2020. The stigma around using the botulinum toxin has subsided, particularly among younger generations, and social media use and selfies are at an all-time high. The pandemic in the past 12 months only brought an increase in social media use across all generations and increased screen time in Zoom meetings. It’s no surprise, then, that Botox ranks #3 in most searched non-invasive cosmetic procedures. Botox is here to stay…and to grow in demand.

Liposuction, Tummy Tuck, and Gastric Sleeve Top The Surgical List
No. 1-3 - Liposuction, Tummy Tuck, and Gastric Sleeve
With more downtime in quarantine for recovery, patients were more motivated to pursue invasive surgical procedures like liposuction, tummy tucks, and even gastric sleeve. It’s no surprise, then, that these rank 1, 2, and 3, respectively, in the most searched surgical cosmetic procedures.
During the pandemic, many companies realized that employees can work remotely and still be productive. The realization has brought a shift in work culture that experts predict to remain post-pandemic, with more companies allowing employees the freedom to work from home. As such, consumers will continue to seek out surgical cosmetic treatments and enjoy the recovery that working from home affords.
